Happy New Year! I started 2007 asking you what is more important: Who you are or Where you are. Who you are as a person should be more important than where you are. For most of you, your "where" didn't change much this year. Home, Mt. Abe, church...all pretty much the same. But, now think about the "who". Did "who you are" change? Of course you did. We all grow and change and mature. So, are you happy with who you are? Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 3:13-14) That's Paul saying, "hey, don't worry about the past...concentrate on your future". Students, "who" we are should always be compared to who God wants us to be. Knowing what God wants for your life is what gives you direction in life. Thank you and GEAT JOB to Emily, Wayne, Ellen, Conor and Andrew for sharing their talents in the Christmas Eve service.
